Necessity
Sulfuric acid is one of the most important raw material for many industries, and a nation's sulfuric acid production indicates its industrial strength. One universal method of producing sulfuric acid is through pyrite roasting (to get SO2). Pyrite concentrates are transformed into solid oxides and gaseous sulfur dioxide at temperatures of 800 ℃ ~ 1000℃, after which the sulfur dioxide in the roasting gas is cooled down by a waste heat recovery boiler and further processed to produce sulfuric acid. The average investment recovery period is around 1.5 years.
Design Ingenuity
The flue gas containing sulfur dioxide and high level of chemical dusts is greatly corrosive, therefore, heat exchange surface is susceptible to fouling. Our waste heat recovery boiler features a dust settling chamber with a horizontal channel which is in direct contact with flue gas, and forced circulation mode. Heat surface area employs a simple but reliable vertical serpentine coil structure, and it is equipped with a rapping cleaning system. Due to our unique design, the heat transfer surface temperature is always above the dew point of gaseous sulfuric acid, which lowers the possibility of corrosion to zero.
