One of the most common methods to remove dust from the AQC boiler is a mechanism that utilizes the gravity action to achieve the natural settlement of dust particles. Right after the dust-laden flue gas enters the inlet of the AQC boiler, it encounters the step-shaped cross-sectional area which reduces the gas flow velocity, causing the dust particles to settle down to the hopper. After this, the flue gas travels through a horizontal diversion device on a higher level to ensure the even distribution of gas flow and also to act as a secondary dust-blocking screen for further dust settlement. Finally, the flue gas carrying a minimum amount of dust content enters the first WHRB heat transfer section. The inner surface of the DDS adopts a high wear resistant lining, and the diversion device must be made from high quality steel, not only assuring the DDS of a DD ratio of 80% but also enabling the boiler to reach a long life span.
